With the ongoing crisis of COVID-19, it is highly unlikely that things will get back to normal anytime soon. This crisis has affected all parts of our lives, including our work culture. The corporate or the office culture we know now is going to change drastically.
Social Distancing
Social Distancing will be a significant part of the new office culture after the lockdown is over. All the office spaces and coworking space in Mumbai and other cities will include social distancing as an everyday routine. No offices will have greater distances between our desks, and everyone will try to keep a safe distance from one another. Even companies are rethinking on how to utilize the available coworking space in Mumbai ahead.
Work from Home
Work from home or WFH will become a regular work practice. The Information Technology or IT industry is already familiar with this concept, but it is a new concept with many new challenges for other sectors. While everything will move forward, companies are re-strategizing how to use the resources in the best possible ways.
Psychological Impact
Everyone is going to extra cautious with everything around them. Office meetings may become conference calls so that employees do not have to be in a confined space. As we know, lunchtime, when everyone gets together and shares dishes, will become a thing of the past. People will keep to themselves while on lunch, and interactions will be limited.
