Jayanagar is a cosmopolitan locality of Bengaluru city and is one of the zones of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike( BBMP ). Jayanagar was formed after independence and is said that due to migrants of the region established the heterogeneity and formed a pluralist society. The foundation of Jayanagar was laid in 1948 with the making of the very famous landmark of the Jayanagar region i.e. The Ashoka Chakra. Jayanagar has 10 blocks out of which 3rd and 4th block are commercial hubs and the rest is mainly residential regions.
